The 1993 Mississippi River flood was one of the most significant and devastating floods in the United States, affecting nine states and causing billions of dollars in damages. It resulted from heavy rainfall and snowmelt, leading to record-high water levels and widespread flooding along the Mississippi and its tributaries.
